Dr. Barkhordar received her doctorate degree from University of California, San Francisco and has had over six years of practical experience. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology with concentration in physiology and her minor in chemistry at San Jose State University. During her academic years, she has been awarded several academic honor certificates and several recognitions for her excellence in research programs.
Dr. Afsoon Barkhordar
The abstract of one of her research program was accepted by International Association of Dental Research in 1997. She received her Laser Clinical Certificate in 2000 and was awarded the John C. Green society Research Certificate in 2002. She has also held a faculty position at University of California, Los Angeles during 2005-2007, where she has taught and supervised the junior and senior dental students perform different avenues of dentistry on patients.
She has served the underprivileged and needy population in Los Angeles for four years where she was awarded On Spot Recognition of Excellence in County Service in 2003 and received her recognition from Nation Health Science Corp. in 2007 for these endeavors.
Dr. Barkhordar has participated and is active in innumerable post graduate seminars in general, specialty and cosmetic dentistry. She has been a continuous member of the American Dental Society, California Dental Society, Los Angeles Dental Society and is active in many community services and organizations.
